Photography
I'm really getting into using this camera. It takes great pictures. I've got to look for a class at somewhere like SMU to learn more about digital photography, but I'm liking even the shots that I take out in the front yard. Here, Stephen is looking at a plane going by while we're out in the front before dinner time, hitting golf balls, and later trying on dad's sunglasses![](https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg_xR4H_ZdiW-4g8uscAb7eHC-T5_L9HL3RUbW24oToYLjTukDmAR8FVdmK_UmqmSAZs66YiAdKLlrwR5yQaaj6IRtaVmMUK-A4yid8ePFpqcXsX8nq5miS06pkpnP3uX5RYew4WcEOCpg/s320/DSC_0015.JPG)

I really like you're photos too! The top one where Stephen is off to the side is really fun compositionally too.
Unsolicited advice here: I think a great way to learn about taking pictures is to look at pictures. Everyone can learn about how the camera works - the gift is in how you place your subjects in the frame. Look at pictures that you like, think about where things are in that pictures and try to imitate that. Also just take lots of shots. Sometimes my 'mistake' shots are the best ones image-wise.
Sorry for the unsolicited advice - you're pictures are looking really great. Keep going with this, because you're going in the right direction.
Listen to Kate's good advice--I love her pictures. I enjoy seeing how your photos convey the late afternoon light and the neighborhood spirit on Emerson Ave. Love, Mom
